Individual Note
In 1871 he was living in 188 Lower Street, Deal, Kent with his father and mother, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. He was 7 years old and a Scholar.
In 1881 he was living at 196a High Street, Deal, Kent with his parents, a sister and niece Mabel Harding aged 9 from Islington, London. He was 16 years old and a Scholar. Also living there was Harry Harding aged 22, unmarried and a Hairdresser's Assistant from Leicester, and Sarah Noble, aged 15, a Servant from Deal.
Alfred seems to have been weak and to have had something wrong with his spine which caused his lower limbs to contract.1
